I don't know about you guys but after making Christmas card after Christmas card, my mojo for the new year has been on a go slow. As a DT at Polkadoodles we were given the subject of 'Use a Die Cut' and thankfully I have a step dad with an early January birthday so I combined those 2 things and came up with this....
A cute little A6 flip card in shades of blue & brown.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I do love to read all of your lovely comments.
It's great to be kicking off the New Year with a brand new weekly challenge blog, Colour Crazy, no matter what your chosen colouring medium, pens, pencils paints.... pop on over and join in the fun it would be great to see you!
For my first DT project I used cute little Blinkie from Cherryblossom Lane collection. He's also available separately as a digi stamp HERE or a clear stamp HERE. I coloured him up using my Prismacolor Pencils and for those interested here are the colours used.
Happy New Year bloggers! I do hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas with your family/loved one's. Over at Polkadoodles we are kicking off 2017 with some inspiration. It's mid challenge time and the DT are thinking about 'Something New'. I always think of January as a clean slate & a chance to change your out look so decided for a positive, new beginnings card. You of course are free to enter what you wish as 'Anything Goes'
I coloured Octavia Winter Time up using my Lyra Rembrandt pencils.

It's time for a brand new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and it would be lovely to see some of you joining in this week. The design team are using the 'Traditional Christmas' theme but as usual you can join in with 'Anything Goes'. What with life getting in the way sometimes you have to cut corners so this week I opted for pre coloured images from the oh so versatile Festive Christmas collection. All papers and embellishments are from the afore mentioned collection. I've just added some bakers twine and a bell plus sentiment from my crafty stash.
So today I thought I'd share a bit of festive humour with you, I used my Inky Pinky DT opportunity to design my Dad's Christmas card! Et Voila.... 😀😀😀.
I've not given it to him yet so I hope I can avoid him seeing it on social media first. This little beauty is called Revolting Kiss and she's part of the hilarious new collection 'Old Bag's' from Polkadoodles none of which are festive I hasten to add. I just used a Santa Hat from another collection as well as paper's, embellishments and die cuts to make her seasonal. A list of items used will be linked below.
She's coloured up using my alcohol markers and enhanced with pencils. I created the sentiment topper within my graphics programme leaving spacing for the die cut DAD lettering. My Dad has always had an eye for the ladies I wonder if he could pull this cracker?

Here's my take on a Blue Christmas for inspiration time over at the Polkadoodles Challenge blog. I really hope you can pop over and join in the fun? Everything used is pre coloured from the Twiggy & Toots Festive Fun Collection. I used one of the scene background papers and added the snowman within my graphics programme. I then printed the snowman off another couple of times to make my own decoupage. The lights and tree were also from the collection. I just added some sparkle. I then merged the sentiment onto one of the banners and added that to the bottom of my card.

Morning all. As per usual I'm meeting myself coming back so am keeping my Christmas cards relatively CAS. Here's my DT make for The Pencil Case This card is made using the lovely Christmas tree digi on Twiggy & Toots Festive Fun. It really is a blank canvas for you to put your own take on. I used my Lyra pencils and the flicking technique to achieve the texture. For those interested the colours used are... Tree: 080, 076, 075, 070, 067, 065 Star: 006, 007 Gifts: 021, 024, 026 + white gel pen for polkadots The polkadot backing paper is also from the collection I matted that onto some contrasting card stock and stuck my coloured digi on flat. I then glittered up a piece of card to make the tree 'bucket' and adhered that, the star and the gifts using foam pads. I then decorated my tree using red, green and gold gemstones.
