Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a card I recently made for a very dear friend. For a change I had a little play with my Inktense pencils & Octavia Moonfly Wistful (skin: baked earth, willow, deep rose, hair: mid vermillion, red oxide, madder brown, dress/tights: felt green, hookers green, beech green, shiraz, crimson, hot red, eyes/wings: iris blue, leaf: ionion green, iron green, mushroom: sepia ink, bark, oak, saddle brown, shiraz, crimson, hot red) the pretty floral arrangement was created using Birdhouse Doublet & Flowers 1 die sets. The sentiment is from the Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Collection. I hope you like it?

We are still concentrating on 'Christmas in July' over at Polkadoodles this fortnight & I decided to have a play with the new, uber cute Robin Cuddles stamp. I pushed myself this week by giving water colouring another go, I'm not very brave when it comes to using different mediums but I think it came out ok although I could definitely do with some more practice!
The backing paper & sentiment came from Festive Christmas. I added some snowflake embossing behind the main image along with some red ribbon. The additional piece of holly is another stamp on the Santa Clause stamp set.

Here are a few samples I recently made for the Polkadoodles show on Create and Craft. Typically I'm a tad late sharing. I hope you like them. Please feel free to leave me a comment as I do love to read them x
So over at Polkadoodles we have decided to get you thinking about Christmas. After all it does have a habit of kind of creeping up o you. So with that in mind the DT are here to give you some ideas. I fancied giving a flip flop card a go. I found a simple to follow tutorial on You Tube made my base card and then used elements from Winnie Winterland & Ribbon/Gift Dies to decorate. I'm really happy with the result. What do you think?

I love a bit of red, white & blue together and that is what the DT at Polkadoodles have been asked to work with this fortnight. I remembered seeing this fab distressed 'driftwood' effect backing paper on the Winnie Starfish & Sandcastles collection so used that as my inspiration then used one of the sentiments which I cut out using an oval die and inked through. I created my own decoupage by printing off four of the floral elements and just cutting bits away. They were then layered up and added to my card, With a pretty bow and gemstone to finish.

The brief for the DT this fortnight is 'Polkadots' I created this cute little 5x5 inch card using Horace & Boo Big Kahuna Collection. I used papers, one of the design sheets & one of the sentiments. Inking everything up to make it look aged. I shaped the flowers and built them up to give dimension, adding gemstones to the centres.

Polkadoodles is the sponsor over at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge and I thought as it has been so warm outside recently that we could all do with a bit of a cool down so I opted to work with the Festive Hollybobs collection. The digi used is available on it's own HERE but I used the paper's from the collection too. I laid down an initial base colour of Graph'it marker (4125, 8240, 5210, 1210, 9100) then used my Prisma pencils to add the shading (1001, 939, 927, 928, 1018, 988, 911, 910, 923, 924, 1033, 1032, 914, 1022, 1025) I think it makes the image look less 'flat'.
Here is the finished article. I've currently left it without a sentiment as I've not yet decided who will be the recipient. I will personalise it nearer the time.

Oh I adore Ula Inner Beauty. For my DT 8x8 card this week. I've printed her off big and made her the focal point. she's coloured up using my Lyra pencils. The backing papers are from the very pretty Daisydays CD Rom. Why not pop over to the blog and join in this week? HERE

Happy Friday everyone. Today I'm sharing some of the gorgeous content from Horace & Boo with you. The DT at Polkadoodles have been challenged to use 2 or more papers.
I've used three vertical strips of backing paper which I've inked and used as a background, Then within my graphics programme I added one of the sentiments to a topper and resized it to fit. Then added a few of the printed flowers & leaves for decoration.
To decorate the inside of my card I used another of the pretty backing papers and added a pre coloured digi of Horace.
