Live, Laugh, Love

Don't faint. I haven't used pencils this week. I decided to bite the bullet and dust off my Graph'it markers & colour in a hand stamped (yes no digi for this one) image.

For anyone interested here are the colours used  (Daisy,5210, 5215, blender, 8250, 8260, 1180, 1170, background, 1180, 1170, 1130, 1110, blender.) I covered the image with a double-sided sticky sheet which I then glittered. The backing paper is from the Daisydays CD Rom . I've added a die cut doily and some ribbon. I also typed the three words and printed them off and added them to my finished project. I do hope you like it.

Many thanks for stopping by I do love to read all your lovely comments.

Fathers Day

Morning all I'm so glad I get to schedule my blog posts as no doubt today I will be an emotional wreck. I was 'Manilowed' at the O2 last night and will probably be good for nothing for a few days lol.

It's mid challenge time over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and all you need to do is 'use a die cut' either from your electronic or manual cutting machine. I'm a bit of a technical numpty and no longer possess an electric machine so had to dive into my basket of dies........

For the main image on my Dad's 'Father's Day' card I used the wonderful Wesley from Cherryblossom Lane collection.

I coloured him up with my Lyra pencils, adding some glossy accents to his eyes & nose, The backing paper is from the same collection and I added faux stitching around the edge. My die cut is the bunting and lettering across the top. I couldn't think what other embellishments to add. My dad loves his allotment and Wesley had that kind of feel so I decided to make some carrots. They are just coloured, shaped, pearlised pieces of card with some green threads sprouting from the top.

Double Bubble

Good morning all. I've just got back from a fasting blood test ~ yep that's about as exciting as my life gets. So I thought I'd get home and catch up with some design team work.

I've made two projects this week, one CAS card.

Plus I decorated an organiser/notebook.

Both were made using the wonderful Daisydays  I coloured the single Daisy for the card using Kuretake Zig Art & Graphic pens and a waterbrush. The backing paper is from the Daisydays Cd . I cut the front panel in some pearlised card stock using a pretty edged die. Then stamped the sentiment and adhered the fussy cut daisy.

The organiser was just covered with fussy cut daisies which I coloured up using Wink of Stella glitter pens. My photography skills don't do it justice as it is really sparkly!! I then added a few iridescent gemstones and a ribbon. I think its certainly prettied it up a bit.

Thanks so much for stopping by I do love to read your comments!

Winnie in Wonderland

Morning all! This week I decided to have a play with the fabulous Winnie in Wonderland collection the only problem I had was deciding which digi to colour up! I decided on Winnie Teatime. I used my prisma pencils this week, sorry I got so engrossed I forgot to make a note of the colours used!

I used my graphics programme to make my card front. I just re-sized and cropped my favourite backing paper to A6 size. Printed it off on a full A4 sheet cut it down the middle vertically and created a tent fold card. I then cut a little port hole on the front and went around the outside with a gold pen & put a bit of sparkle on the toadstools. I then cut down my colouring to fit on the inside to show Winnie peeping out of the port hole. Finally I used a thin line of red sticky tape and stuck on some ribbon, a bow and coloured up a little pearl for the middle of the bow.

One For The Boys

Hi all its new challenge time over at Polkadoodles and the theme this fortnight is 'One For The Boys' (Father's Day).

I decided to use one of the design sheets from Work & Play 7 and a couple of the complimentary backing papers. This week I fancied a 5x7 card and used one of my dies to give the front a different edge.
